If you're building a new home, adding on or re-roofing, Xtermite will protect your structure by treating the raw wood with Tim-bor® after framing and roofing are up, but before insulation and drywall are installed.
By diffusing deep into wood fibers, our products can last as long as the wood is kept dry. In addition, any decay fungi is treated and killed on contact.
Tim-bor® is a water soluble borate powder that acts as a wood preservative, fungicide and insecticide to control and prevent drywood termites, carpenter ants, and wood decay fungi. Tim-bor® actually diffuses into the wood making the wood itself poisonous to termites. Wood can be treated at a pre-construction or existing constructed stage. Once the wood is treated, the Tim-bor® stays in it forever (as long as wood is protected from weather by paint or other sealant).
